The challenges facing the world have and grown even more complex since the founding of USTC. However, the basic moral force driving our sustainability agenda across our business remains the same and is clearly linked to our founding values of business acumen, decency, and leadership. With the publication of USTC’s third Sustainability Report covering 2023/24, we strive to demonstrate our commitment to transparency by disclosing our environmental, social, and governance impacts.

We make these disclosures because we recognise our stakeholders’ need to understand how we management ESG issues and we wish to provide insights on how we are continuously driving this agenda forward across our global organisation.

While recent year’s volatile business environment naturally has affected our businesses and has brought about challenges, it has also sparked renewed focus on ESG. When browsing through this year’s Sustainability Report, we are proud to see progress across all USTC entities. The initiatives across the operating companies span environmental, social, and governance topics, e.g. engaging in strategic partnerships to reduce CO2e emissions, elevating health and safety initiatives, nurture and foster talent and diversity, as well as prepare for upcoming EU legislation.

Guided by a diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) strategy, our approach to DEI has matured over the past year, an area where we have intensified our awareness and efforts.
