ARE YOU OUR NEW SHIP AGENT IN BERGEN FOR THE SUMMER?

We are looking for a shipping enthusiast to join our office in Bergen. The available position is for a period of 4 months during our busy summer season, with a possibility of extending after the season for a permanent position. The business environment is hands-on and involves a daily contact with customers, suppliers, local and national authorities, and other business partners. In addition to gaining knowledge of cruise and yacht industry, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad shipping knowledge by being part of a shipping company with many different business activities.

MAIN TASKS

The operational areas of responsibility vary and are related to coordination, handling, and clearing of ship calls. We handle everything from ordering fresh water to cooperating with Authorities, such as Police and Customs. This includes being on board the ships, at the pier, and in the office. Interaction with, and service of, customers, as well as business development, are therefore important aspects of the job.

WORKLOAD

As our yachts and cruise ships can be in port longer than normal working hours, and every day of the week; work outside normal business hours and overtime is to be expected to some extent.

The cruise season is continuously expanding, and so not only are we looking for someone to work during the summer, we also require someone who is available in the early Autumn or for a permanent position. We are flexible on the amount of workload during Autumn and can reach a mutual agreement on amount of work during this period.

• The right to live and work in Norway
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken, is a prerequisite
• Working experience from shipping or logistics is an advantage
